KNOWLEDGE CENTER

The Transportation Informatics and Telematics University Knowledge Center (after the abbreviation of its name in Hungarian: KITT) is an independent organizational unit of Budapest Tech. Its main activity is research management and organization that is realized on the basis of the expertise of the internationally recognized research communities of Budapest Tech in co-operation wit its industrial partners. Using this background KITT can organize and implement various R&D- and innovation-oriented projects resulting in high level intellectual added value as contribution to establishing and cultivating the national knowledge base related to the Intelligent Transportation Systems. The joint activities of KITT and its partners in the sphere of commercial enterprises are financially supported by the National Office for Research and Technology (NKTH) with the demand of feeding the newly created / obtained knowledge back the education. The industrial members of the Consortium lead by Budapest Tech are the Knorr-Bremse Rail Carriage Systems Hungária Ltd., Ramsys Inc., and SDA Stúdió Ltd. The Consortium also has industrial supporters as Inventure Automotive Electronics R&D, Inc., TÁRKI Social Research Institute Inc., and the Budapest Public Communications Co.Ltd.
